An exhibition event at the Arab World Institute, under the artistic direction of Akhenaton rapper, dedicated to Hip-Hop movement, now in forty years a universal multi-faceted culture and often ignored.
Will present the story of a movement that has accompanied the protest youth around the world, in multiple forms: music, writing, graffiti, Tagged, dance, fashion, photography or cinema.
“From unpublished visual and musical works, flagship objects, outstanding documents and archives, the exhibition will trace the history of Hip Hop culture, from its genesis in the United States in its onslaught on all the world, including the Arab world, “said Jack Lang. “Nearly a hundred works by American artists, French and Arabic will be presented,” whose original works of graffiti artists such as JonOne, Evol, Jay One, Meen One or Yazan One.
