The Portuguese street artist Bordalo II just finished his latest big trash animal at the Saint Peter’s Railway Station in Rome (Italy). Invited by Forgotten Project, the urban art project that is bringing five Portuguese street artists to highlight those buildings in Rome risking being ‘forgotten’, Bordalo II turned old bins, car pieces, bolts and any kind of garbage into a beautiful goat. His three-dimensional street art, half-way between sculpure and visionary painting, aims at speaking againts consumerism, which is destroying our planet and affecting the lives of defenceless animals. That’s why animals are Bordalo II’s favourite subject: a chance for payback that, at the same time, highlights the beauty hidden behind what we usually consider ‘trash’.
