Amaroni, a small town with 2000 of habitats in the Catanzaro hinterland, decides to put in his summer planning two performances in the name of Altrove. A brave choice which gave to artists such as 2501 and G Loois the chance to modernize the historical center of this village. Respectful and precise, two new works are now inserted in the middle of the paths.
Close to Santa Barbara Church, G Loois painted “Contemple”, an elegant and public artwork that enhances the beauty and the graceful motion of the woman’s body. On an architectural trace, 2501 pays even more attention and marks what remains of San Girolamo’s Church.
In the Calabria hinterland you can now appreciate two pieces of art so far from the traditional and religious iconography of the inhabitants but perfectly integrated with the usual buildings of the country.
The Altrove’s approach is always respectful to the preexisting architecture and wants to create a new link between the artists involved and the contest where the new opera is inserted.
There is no Elsewhere (Altrove) without the different. No identity without traditions.
