Willoke Urban Art Festival presented the work of Nasimo at this great festival. The Bulgarian artist Nasimo was invited to paint a wall at the Festival in Italy. The artist is from Targovishte, in Bulgaria, and he is also known as Naste, Nasimo, Kardami Kapila das or Stanislav. He started painting graffiti in 1995 together with Scum and they jointly formed NTN together with Ndoe (hiphop group DRS).
This work in Italy is called “The chains” and is located in the city Monte Leone.
“The mural depicts a girl (which symbolize all of the souls in the material world) with chains on her arms, a birdhouse (symbolizing the heart) and few birds one of which is look like real bird, but it is bound with red string (attachments) to the house. Actually that bird is the soul. When I thought about real freedom, this idea came up.
Most of us want to be free, but there are always obstacles and temptations. Sometimes we see some personalities that arereal free and we admire to them. We want to fly with them but we have to find the way to cut off the strings and the chains and to finally join the free souls and to begin our real journey.
“Why do we stay in prison, when the door is wide open?”- Rumi”
Great Work Nasimo and Willoke Urban Art Festival!!!
