Here is the latest addition to London streets by Airborne Mark which is based on an old English nursery rhyme that he adapted accordingly for obvious reasons: “Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, where have you been? I’ve been to Camden chasing my dream… Pussy Cat, Pussy Catt, what did you do there? I frightened cranes folded out of paper squares…”
According to the artist, he explains: First, as always, I began my meticulous work from designing the cat in paper, including the box. This is an original origami design by me. I folded the reference in mind of the situational pice it will eventually become. Tucked away in a corner between a garage and a garden wall just off Camden High Street, one of the most busiest tourist places in UK. The Pussy Cat jumps out of a shredded cardboard box chasing a flock of my trademark origami cranes, scaring them away, making them fly away in panic! I had a great time painting it with support of The Real Art of The Street Art who organised the permission to paint. I was stopped by a thunderstorm and migraine but the mural came together in the end.
As always, all captured in a video: https://youtu.be/7oQJdHam2HY
