“Room with a view” is the title of the latest mural by Wasp Crew in Turin, Italy. The topic the mural touches is some of the aspects of the recent lockdown. In this hard times daily life has become a routine to live between the four walls of our homes. Our time and actions have changed and for many the house is no longer just a place to live. We used to go home to relax, meet family and reconnect in the evening. Changes pushed us to transform it into a place of work and study. Smart working and studying online made us change the way we manage our time. Usually we were able to relax because the two places were separate and distinct. Now, it’s up to us and our self-discipline to be able to blow off some steam. The consequences of a lack of self-discipline can lead the individual to develop a psychological malaise.
Allegory of health
An important aspect that also came to life in this period of emergency is that the lack of organization now leads to painful choices in the future. The allegory of Health care holds her children in her arms to ensure that none of the infants go hungry. In order for the system to work, both the Mother and the infants will have to organize and do their job. It is important for everyone to follow the rules so that the mother (allegory of healthcare) will not be overwhelmed.
“In this period of emergency for many (but not all) daily life has concentrated in homes.
The time and the actions we carry out there have changed and for many the home is no longer just the place to live.”
The home has been transformed from a place of rest and relaxation to a place of work and school. Smart working like online school requires us to change the management of our time. If once, when we left the workplace and arrived home, we managed to relax now, that the two places are one, we need more self-discipline to be able to “pull the plug.” The consequences of a lack of self-discipline can lead the individual to develop a psychological malaise.
“In this period of emergency we have seen how to organize every aspect of our life well is necessary to avoid the consequences of painful choices.”
The allegory of health care holds her offspring, so that none of the infants go hungry, they will have to manage and organize breastfeeding so that the infants do not all ask to be breastfed together. In order for the system to work, infants will also have to do their part, respecting the organization rules imposed by their mom.
