Vukovart presents 5 new murals in its new concept for culture in Vukovar, a city in the eastern part of Croatia. It promotes Vukovar as a place which accepts all artists, or creators of additional values.
Also, by this concept we change visual identity of the city and make it more beautiful for living, but also change it in a way that painted parts present attractions for numerous tourists. Vukovar, Danube harbour, becomes Art harbour and true Open Gallery.
This year again, the motto was “Give Me 5” because of five new murals made by five great urban artists: OKO – Croatia, Tea Jurisic – Croatia, Eugen Varzic – Croatia, Boogie – Switzerland, Arsek & Erase – Bulgaria.
Other activities on the festival’s program included bicycle races, lectures, workshops, concerts, panel discussions, and exhibitions. Cooperation was established with the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, so there were also student exhibitions and performances during the festival. Because of the COVID-19 situation, every activity was held outdoor.
The Official closing last week included a presentation of street food and local craft beers and concert!
In case you visit Vukovar, you can enjoy the Open Gallery and plenty of other cultural offerings that Vukovar has!
You may consider a modest donation — however much you can afford, when it comes from the heart, it’s the kind of gesture that makes us warm with appreciation.
