The motherland of street art, your favorite daily updates, check the latest walls, exhibitions, books and much more. The world is one.
Street Artist Jupiterfab presented his 2 latest murals, supported by the UN, focusing on migration issues in Mexico. The project began interviewing 20 migrants from several countries, Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala, Salvador and Mexico (Mexican expelled from US).
Each mural is comprised by the graphic work and QR codes that allows the audience to get access to the interviews and migrants’ stories.
The first mural (120 m2) was created on the wall of the Migrants’ Shelter “El Refugio” in Cerro del Cuatro, Tlaquepaque, in collaboration with migrants living inside the shelter and the community.
The second mural is 250 m2 and was made in downtown Guadalajara.
The two artworks works on the concept of helping each other, something I heard a lot whilst interviewing migrants.
In fact, they told me during their trip, they met many people helping and supporting them among migrants itself and also regular Mexican people.
The project was supported by United Nation office for migrants (UNHCR), GIZ and was in collaboration with Caritas and Migrants Shelter El Refugio.
