On November 24th, the Tres Xemeneies park in Barcelona became a stage for protest thanks to the celebration of the Feminist JAM, an action driven by Rebobinart within the Womart project. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, this event highlighted the talent of ten women artists, who transformed the public space into a collective visual shout against gender-based violence. This intervention, in addition to being a denunciation, advocates for the presence and visibility of women in urban art, a field traditionally dominated by men.
Advocating for the Role of Women Artists in the Streets
During the event, the artists conveyed powerful messages of sorority, empowerment, and protest on the walls of this iconic space in the Poble-sec neighborhood. Every stroke and every color became a statement against the inequalities and violence faced by millions of women worldwide. In a sector still predominated by men, this action emphasized the importance of women occupying public space, both through art and their voices.
The participants were: Aitana Giráldez, Valentina Will, Atena, Lacastillo, Ona Salvador, Pixa, Magia Trece, Gemma Fontanals, Plain Jein, and Ultra LXP. Thanks to their talent and commitment, the project solidified as a collective expression of resistance and hope.

Collective Preparation and Social Impact
The Feminist JAM was not limited to the event on November 24th. Weeks before, the artists participated in an online session where they shared experiences and thoughts on invisible violence, sorority, and collective empowerment. This dialogue space was key to building a shared vision, culminating in an artistic intervention with significant social and cultural impact.
On the day of the event, the walls of the Tres Xemeneies became a visual manifesto that dialogued with the urban context and invited the public to reflect on the need to eradicate gender-based violence. This transformation not only impacted the local community but also showcased the talent of the artists.
Womart and Rebobinart
The Feminist JAM is part of the Womart project, an initiative working to balance the representation of women in urban art and turn it into a tool to promote gender equality and social transformation. In a field where women have traditionally been marginalized, actions like this not only give voice to the artists but also inspire a structural change that breaks stereotypes and challenges established norms.
Thanks to the collaboration of the local community, the talent of the artists, and the support of Rebobinart, this event has become an example of the power of urban art to raise awareness.
A Clear and Forceful Message: Enough Gender-Based Violence
The Feminist JAM is much more than an artistic act: it is a declaration of principles and a call to action. At a time when gender-based violence remains a devastating reality, this project sends a clear and forceful message: women must be heard, visible, and respected, in art and in all areas of society.
