We bring you Bifido’s last mural, made in collaboration with the danish artist Jacoba Niepoort. It is titled: Playground love, and created in Vienna for the Calle Libre festival. Regarding the colaborationa dn the meaning of this artwork Bifido explains to us:
”When I saw for the first time Jacoba’s work, I thought: I absolutely have to work with this artist. Her work, besides being beautiful, has a rare intensity in the world of street art. It’s not just something decorative, it’s deeper digs, touching the most intimate and emotional part of people. I think that we need this kind of artists in this world. When we met for the first time, I discovered that she felt the same about watching my work. We have decided to try and combine our poetics and styles. The occasion was immediately presented at the Calle Libre Festival in Vienna. This is the result of this first experience together.”
”The project seeks to delve into the intimacy of human relationships. Show that barriers, even the most resistant, can be overcome by the desire for peer into the diversity of others. Berich thorough everything is hidden in life, in the personalities and experiences of others. Looking at walls, not like something that separates but something to break down. An invitation to creative courage, sharing what scares us the most. Fear is a child locked in a cage, courage is a knife stuck in the middle of the sun.”
“The only true voyage, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to see the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to see the hundred universes that each of them sees, that each of them is.” (Marcel Proust)
