Italian street artist Bifido has finalised his latest works of paste ups. The works were made for “oltremare festival” in San Cataldo, a little village in the south of Italy. In this area the government is building a gas pipeline and to do it they are cutting many olive trees. Since part of the local economy is based on olive oil production, the local community has been reacting. (more…)
One of the oldest pumping stations in the city of Patras has been transformed! The Demenikon pumping station in Patras was constructed in the framework of the Marshall Project in Greece and has been in operation since 1956. It has enabled the inhabitants of the area, through water extraction, to develop agriculture and cope with the widespread poverty of the time (according to local Residents). (more…)
We currently inhabit a world that has been building more walls than ever before, separating communities, neighborhoods, cities and countries creating a sense of separation, exclusion, danger, and limitation.
