Covid-19 trash art Project 2020-06-21

Covid-19 trash art Project

We recently picked out from Instagram an inspiring account that focuses on the trash this pandemic has brought to many cities. We found out more about it.With an artistic touch the leftovers have been documented and Maria from Tel Aviv has made a fine art project out of it.

Back in the day in Moscow, Maria worked as a graphic and textile designer. She started this Instagram project around May and every day she uploads a new picture with post COVID trash.

She started it because she saw a lot of garbage in the streets and thought that she can attract people’s attention to a few things. The first one is the Environmental issues. A lot of people throw their garbage out on the streets.

The second theme is a historical process we all face right now as COVID-19 is the biggest enemy of the whole world in 2020. It’s already a part of our history. As an artist, she decided to combine reality and art.

@post_korona Instagram account has currently more than 500 subscribers and she is very glad that a lot of them share her vision and opinion. She shares pictures from Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, and other countries from people who care.  Maria believes that It’s really important to bring this theme up.

”I believe that together we can change the world and bring attention to global problems through a creative approach.”
