This is the latest Fabio Petani mural in Milan for Arrigo and Pia Pini Foundation. The formal title, as the artist usualy does, is inspired by the chemical compound which is related to his theme.
The chemical compound indicated in the work (A-Linolenic Acidum) is intended to connect to the context of the intervention as it is a component of linseed oil that was extracted in the famous Molino Dorino in the area. In addition to this reference to the history of the neighborhood, the background is composed of a texture of giant leaves of Monstera Deliciosa while the white plant in the foreground is the Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma.
The two plants are often confused with each other although different. This wants to represent how both, although different, express beauty in the same way and are at the same time functional to the construction of something beautiful as it could and should be with the inhabitants of the neighborhood.
