This is the last Fabio Petani mural painted in Turin in collaboration con Luogo Comune for ToNite Project. The theme is the interaction between plants and insects and is interpreted here through the concept of ecosystem.

The theme is the interaction between plants and insects and is interpreted here through the concept of ecosystem. An ecosystem is made up of a community of living organisms that interact with each other, in a specific habitat (from the Latin “abitare”), constituting a self-sufficient system in dynamic equilibrium. of the relationships that contribute to the continuous exchange of energy and matter.

Plants need insects, just as insects need plants to be able to feed, find shelter and reproduce. This theme is further explored from the formal point of view by the artists who have worked in synergy, creating a composition where the two styles mix, interact and compensate each other. Here, insects play a non-secondary role compared to the plants represented and are juxtaposed in the composition as necessary otherness for the flora.
