from spring you can find her animals in the streets of Paris, because that’s where this project was born …
For the first time SONAC presents her gallery work after have covered the walls of his animals in many cities and institutions since 2010. She has exhibited at the Museum of Natural History of Dijon in 2011, at the Center Pompidou in 2012, at the Parc Floral de Paris in 2013, at the Cité des Sciences in 2016, and at the Musée de la Poste in Paris in 2017.
SONAC dedicates her energy to the accomplishment of a step personal photograph, where she places Nature and not Art at the center of her vision of the world, from which she captures reflections his shots.
Her collages, ephemeral installations, enter by surprise in life daily passersby. By modifying the perception conditions, by awakening the attention, it challenges the viewer by offering him a look again at a known place. The street becomes a decoration of which it makes left.
The animal takes possession of the place, it found its place in the space urban. Animals here find a new dignity because here they are in the heart of creation, bearer of meaning, imagination and metaphors. The animals were previously photographed in zoos by the artist. So once printed and affixed in the streets, an abandoned factory, a urbex site or a museum, it frees them.
Recently a WWF report informed the community the disappearance of more than 60% of wild animals since 1970. SONAC’s installations help to make us think, as long as there is still time, on the place of animals in our society and more globally in the world.
“Public awareness to protect our heritage natural is the first step on the road to awareness and behavior change “. My Display Job “Sauvage” works to this realization confides the artist.
