A group exhibition curated by DJ Fat Boy Slim with works by: Andrea Harz | Bob Jaroc | Carrie Reichardt | Chemical X | Estúdio Pedrita | James Joyce | Jimmy Cauty | Joseph Ford | Mark Vessey | Ron English | RYCA | The London Police.
21 June – 27 July 2019 | EVENT
An avid collector of contemporary and urban art, international DJ Fat Boy Slim (aka Norman Cook) has, in the past, to use his own words, “tentatively flirted” with visual art collaborations. Encouraged by his recent work with Vhils, Cook was enticed to leave the DJ booth and take over Underdogs Gallery to curate “Smile High Club”, a unique exhibition inspired by the symbol he holds most dear, the smiley.
In “Smile High Club”, Cook presents the work of 12 artists and collectives who, from pop surrealism to ceramicism, have created works inspired by and honouring the smiley’s creator, Harvey Ball, together with the impact this iconic image has had on popular culture.
Opening reception:
Friday, 21 June 2019, 6pm – 9pm
Exhibition on view until 27 July 2019
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, from 12pm to 7pm

IGNORANTISM
A solo exhibition by FUZI
21 June – 13 September 2019 | EVENT
In “IGNORANTISM”, FUZI returns to the spontaneity of graffiti, recalling the marks carved into prison walls, scribbled on bathroom stalls, or scratched onto train windows. His self-proclaimed “Ignorant Style” extols freedom beyond the confines of society’s laws and rules. Like outsider art, his work is instinctive in its execution.
