An abandoned industrial area, once a symbol of recovery, today characterized by decay and destruction – the perfect location for ARTinfect IV. 39 artists from all over the world leave the former Pfaff area in Kaiserslautern on a 4000 m2 design space revive one last time and prove that urban art is more than vandalism and blind destruction. The book is a Retrospective and highlights the history of the Art Symposia ARTinfect I-IV. On over 240 pages, the works of the artists, their positions and created works are shown. ARTinfect sees itself as a kind of homage to urban art and its Actors. As an event in public space it shows that urban art does not shield itself, but is in real exchange with it’s recipient.
