Talented Italian street artist Alessio Bolognesi aka Bolo has returned, after a short absence from the scene, with a mural that communicates warmth and love. It was created during the week for “Gherardi città del Cinema project”.
According to the artist:
The project itself is aimed to bring back to life a small town close to Ferrara in Emilia Romagna region. As Ferrara has a strong boud to the world of cinema, all the walls are dedicated to films directly or indirectly connected to the territory.
The wall is dedicated to King Kong by the oscar award for special effects Carlo Rambaldi, who was born in Ferrara (specifically in a town called Vigarano Mainarda).
Bolo’s tribute tries to capture the relationship born between the kong and Miss Dwan, interpreted by Jessica Lange in the 1977 film. He worked on the gaze between the two protagonists and triedto show love, empathy and sadness for what is about to happen later in the story.
In general, this work represents the controversial relationship between nature and human being, always running on a razorblade to the trend of our race to destroy our environment!
