Last work by Kerotoo – Follow the white elephant

This is a two days experiment by Kerotoo, together with Musivaria Mosaics Italy of interaction between graffiti and mosaic. It was an enjoyable experiment, It was also the first time he tried the art of mosaics.

This piece breaks all the rules (written or unwritten) of both disciplines.  Mosaic needs time, and here is all made “freestyle”, directly on the wall, using both ceramic and glass tiles.  Spraypaint and acrylics are on the other hand quick mediums, and it’s very interesting to mix these techniques.

The tusks of the elephant are made with a real gold tiles, and the contrast between gold and trash location are great. The location is an almost abandoned garden, which is a perfect place for this old wise white elephant. He decided to leave the tag as found on the wall, to integrate better the subject in the context.
