This fine new mural, titled “The Natives of the Forest” was created by artist Dinho Bento in the city of Ponte Nova located in the Zona da Mata region in Brazil. The mural is a reference to two native beings in the region that are considered symbols of the city. However, the Indians were expelled from the Zona da Mata, with the arrival of the white man. The Capybaras are still found in abundance in the region.
