Invited by Mistaker Maker and sponsored by Revigres, ADD FUEL continues the tradition of Tiles in this historical avenue in Lisbon. Avenida Infante Santo in Lisbon is a street full of historical Portuguese tiles.Artists such as Maria Keil (1959), Carlos Botelho (1959), Júlio Pomar and Alice Jorge (1959), Sá Nogueira (1959) and Eduardo Nery (1994 e 2001) have they work in this huge avenue in the heart of Lisbon.
“Louvor da Vivacidade” is a piece that intends to recreate the tiles that used to be there in the past, a large area with approx. 200 m2, using some of the lines and patterns of the tiles from the past as an honor to the previous work that was there, ADD FUEL tries to continue the tradition with historical tiles.
The artists try to connect the local area to this piece, by creating an organized caos and a dynamic composition, highlighting the link of the neighborhood (Estrela area) to the sea.
