We bring you the first images of the latest Pinocchio wall painted by Bolo – Alessio Bolognesi, in Gherardi, Ferrara province, Italy. Bolo tried to capture both the wooden puppet as well as Pinocchio after the transformation into an actual boy. In the first painting side, Pinocchio is holding a new born flea, representing his desire to became a real living being. In the second painting side, he tried to depict the intimate relationship of Pinocchio and Geppetto.
The artist was asked to dedicate a mural to Carlo Rambaldi’s Pinocchio. Carlo Rambaldi, winner of several oscars for special effects, was born in the province of Ferrara and designed the first animatronic puppet of Pinocchio that was used later on as an inspiration for Comencini’s Pinocchio TV show, back in the 70’s.
