One of the biggest-scaled artistic projects in Europe was recently completed at the cement factory of TITAN in Thessaloniki, Greece. The… titanic artistic project was implemented by MWC graffiti and design crew, by graffiti artists Reb and Christos Galazoulas. In 53 days of full-time effort, a surface over 2,000 m² was painted end to end, top to bottom.
The aim of this artistic intervention was the creation of a visual dialogue between the natural and the industrial environment. The selection of the final proposal was collectively made by the factory employees.
The artists used a mixed technique with sprays and acrylic paints. The artwork contains illustrative elements with an ambient mood. The characteristic writing of the spray can is particularly evident.
The composition has the signature of Greek graffiti artist Reb and describes, in the most dreamy way, the perpetual cycle of water, as the basic natural element, which travels us through altitudes and changing seasons of an imaginary – possibly Greek – landscape.
The first presentation of the stunning graffiti mural took place on November 20-22 at Open House Thessaloniki, where guests had the opportunity to see it from a close distance and talk with the artists that produced it.
