Urka’s wall against homophobia in Italy

Urka‘s last wall in Ravenna, Italy. This project was born in reaction to a homophobic slogan painted in January on the same wall, against the school principal (the wall is at the entrance of a secondary school). The city council and the school principal decided to react in this way. The artist thinks it’s a great way to react and to teach something deep to the students. Of course we also agree 100%.

On the 25th of November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we remember the power of art as a tool for struggle and social transformation. Yesterday, at the Tres Xemeneies, 10 female artists turned the public space into a visual manifesto full of colors, sisterhood and empowerment, raising a collective cry against gender violence. Thank you to all the artists and all the people who were part of this special day. Together we are strong and continue to build a future free of violence.💜

Downtown Springfield shines with a new permanent public artwork — a striking gigantic neon piece by artist @spidertag , wrapping around the walls of the History Museum and
the Historic Fox Theater.

The artwork is titled Interactive Neon Mural #23 (#INM23) and
combines bold geometric patterns and vibrant colors, transforming the corner into a glowing landmark.
Curated by @justkidsofficial for Sculpture Walk Springfield in partnership with the Hatch
Foundation.
