“We all swim in the same waters” is the title of the recent wall female artist Alice Pasquini realised in the city of Hamburg. As the artist explains in her own words, the meaning behind the floating figures is all about our interconnectivity as humans and nature. ”Even before we are born, we are surrounded by water. During that time our bodies are mainly composed of water and our planet earth is primarily made of water.”
As a dreamer there is only one conclusion: „We all swim in the same waters“. Despite the fact that there are too many people drowning at sea in pursuit of a better life these days, we need to continue reminding ourselves that we are all part of one world and, in this sense, part of one flow of water, never downwards, always upwards.
Alice Pasquini‘s Work was realised in Hamburg for Millerntor Gallery #6, that took place from July 14 to 17, which benefits Viva con Agua, a charity that supports clean water initiatives across the globe.
You may consider a modest donation — however much you can afford, when it comes from the heart, it’s the kind of gesture that makes us warm with appreciation.
